• According to one report , demand for developers with Android skill is up 710% in Oct’2010 versus October   2009. According  to  another report, Developers with android skills  are now in greater demand than those with iPhone expertise. Most employers   seek  mobile   developers  with    experience   in   mobile      application    development, mobile computing with specialized    coursework  in  Android development, mobile game design, and lessons in mobile marketing.

Upon completion of this course, TCADs will be able to:

• Understand how  Android  applications  works  along  with  their    complete life cycle

• Design and develop Android application by using, extending and creating layouts, views and Menus

• Use  Androids   Application   Framework  API  to  build   complex     application using background services, threads and notifications.

• Use Androids APIs for SMS, Telephony and Network management

• Use Eclipse and the Android  ADT  plugin  to  develop  and  debug   Android applications

• Take pictures and store them with the Camera

• Persist you application’s data using SQLite
